Vote to pass a bill that amends the Horse Racing Law of 1995 to transfer two million dollars from the Michigan Agriculture Equine Industry Development Fund to the state General Fund for the 2005-2006 fiscal year. Mandates that other unused money allotted to the MAEID Fund shall be carried over to subsequent fiscal years to fund research projects for the horse racing industry rather than returned to the General Fund. The bill also establishes funds for researching and developing new programs to generate growth in the industry as well as in other programs and activities related to the industry.
