Vote to pass a bill that reforms the probate court system.

-Defines the probate districts of Connecticut and sets up a probate court with one elected judge in each district (Secs. 1, 5). -Establishes a procedure for setting the salaries of probate court judges, sets a maximum and minimum salary (Sec. 4). -Requires that each probate judge be an attorney for at least 10 years and be from the district in which he is elected (Sec. 5, 6). -Outlines the duties of the Probate Court Administrator in overseeing, regulating, and maintaining a budget for the probate courts (Sec. 8). -Requires probate courts to be open to the public 40 hours per week rather than the previous 20 hours per business week (Sec. 10).
