Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that prohibits smoking any tobacco-related product on state coastal beaches.

Highlights:

-Exempts the following from the smoking ban (Sec. 1):

    -Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area; and -Areas of a state coastal beach that are officially designated as a campsite.
-Specifies that the smoking ban will only be enforced on state coastal beaches or in a unit of the state park system once signs have been posted alerting the public to the smoking ban, except that warnings may be issued before signs have been posted (Sec. 1). -Prohibits smoking in units of the state park system, other than state coastal beaches, if the Superintendent has posted an order prohibiting smoking, and public notice of the order has been provided for at least 30 days (Sec. 1). -Classifies a violation of the provisions of this Act as an infraction punishable by a fine of $100 (Sec. 1).
