Vote to pass a bill that permits physicians and podiatrists to delegate certain medical procedures to unlicensed employees based on rules to be adopted by the Arkansas State Medical Board or the Arkansas Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Highlights:

-Requires that the delegating physician or podiatrist remain responsible for the acts of the employee performing the procedure (Secs. 2 & 4). -Prohibits an unlicensed employee to whom a medical practice is delegated from delegating that practice to another individual (Secs. 2 & 4). -Prohibits a physician or podiatrist from delegating administration of anesthesia (Secs. 2 & 4).
