Title: Increasing Traffic Fines to Fund Trauma Centers

Vote to pass a bill that increases moving traffic violation fines by $18 and deposits the revenue into the newly established Trauma Care Hospital Fund to be used to establish and maintain trauma care access in Indiana.

Highlights:

    -Speeding violation; -Passenger restraint violation; -Driving while a license is suspended; -Operating while intoxicated and endangering a person; -Disregard for stop sign; -Disregard of traffic signal; -Operating while intoxicated; -Child restraint violation; -Disregard of traffic control device; -Prior operating while intoxicated; -Following too closely; -Reckless driving; -Unsafe lane movement; -Yield sign violation; -Improper turn at intersection; -Driving left of center; -Offense relating to controlled substances while using a motor vehicle; -Passing in a no passing zone; -Driving on the wrong side of the road; -Driving the wrong way on a one-way road; -Improper passing; -Open container fee; -Improper passing to the left of the center line; -Operating a vehicle with a controlled substance; -Operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in injury; -Failure to stop at an accident; and -Individuals less than 21 years of age driving under the influence.
