Vote to pass a bill that raises the limit on alcohol percentage by volume in beer from 7 percent to 14 percent.

Highlights:

-Specifies that the limit shall be 8.75 percent if the beer is a malt beverage that does not meet the following conditions (Sec. 2):

    -It is made by the alcoholic fermentation of an infusion or decoction, or a combination of both, in potable brewing water, of malted cereal grain; and -The sugars used for fermentation are at least 75 percent derived from malted cereal grain measured as a percentage of the total dry weight of the fermentable ingredients.
