Vote to pass a bill that reduces workers’ compensation benefits by the percentage that a preexisting condition affecting an injured portion of the body, whether or not ratable in the opinion of a physician, contributed to a worker’s disability or impairment. The bill changes the years of previous employment used in determining the extent of permanent, partial, or general disability from 15 to five and limits benefits in separations from employment for economic reasons to percentage of functional impairment.
