Vote to adopt an amendment to H 5022 that reduces the application fee for a firearm identification card from $100 to $40.
Highlights:
- Amends the requirements for the distribution of the funds from the licensing fee as follows [sec. 65A (9A)]:
- - $25 retained by the licensing authority, which remains unchanged;
- $15 to be deposited into the General Fund, down from $50; and
- Deletes the $25 deposit into the Firearms Fingerprint Identity Verification Trust Fund.
