Vote to pass a bill requiring voters to show identification at polling places.
-Requires voters to provide a valid voter identification card, driver license, passport, state identification card, photocopy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the voters name and address to be used as proof of identity at their polling precinct (Sec. 1). -If voters cannot provide identification, they can sign an oath swearing they are the person listed in the precinct registry (Sec. 1). -Absentee voters must provide a photocopy of one form of identification listed in this bill (Sec. 2).
