Vote to pass a bill that regulates the location and hours of operation of adult-oriented businesses.

Highlights:

-Prohibits adult-oriented businesses established after June 30, 2008 from operating within one-fourth mile of the following establishments (Sec. 1):

-child welfare agency -private or public school -public playground -public recreational facility -private residence -place of worship.

-Prohibits adult-oriented businesses from operating between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Monday through Saturday and between 2:00 a.m. and noon on Sunday (Sec. 2). -Makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor to violate these provisions (Secs. 1 and 2). -Specifies that the provisions of this act do not prohibit counties and municipalities from further regulating adult-oriented business (Secs. 3-4).
