Title: Restrictions on All-Terrain Vehicle Use

Vote to pass a bill that provides restrictions on the use of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) by minors.

Highlights:

-Forbids the use of all-terrain vehicles and other off-road vehicles, except for farm vehicles, on public roads, including the shoulders (sec. 1). -Bans the use of all-terrain vehicles by anyone under the age of six, and limits children between the ages of six and eleven to all-terrain vehicles with an engine size of 70cc and children between the ages of twelve to fifteen to an engine size of 90cc (sec. 1). -Requires all all-terrain vehicle riders under the age of 16 to wear a safety helmet and protective eyewear, and to be under the supervision of a person who is over the age of eighteen (sec. 1). -Provides for penalties of $50 for the first offense, $100 for the second offense, and $500 for all subsequent offenses (sec. 1).
