Title: Volunteer Homeland Security Force
Highlights:
-Establishes a Committee that consists of two members of the Senate, two members of the House of Representatives, and five members appointed by the Governor and makes recommendations regarding the membership and organization of the Homeland Security Force (Sec. 1). -Allows the Governor, upon consideration of deployment of the National Guard, to request volunteers for the Homeland Security Force when there is a state of emergency or to protect lives or property in Arizona (Sec. 1). -Requires that volunteers be unpaid, at least eighteen years old, and not members of the police, fire, or rescue services (Sec. 1).
