Vote on a motion to table a bill that allows the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.

Highlights:

- Allows physicians to certify patients with cancer, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, nausea, seizures, and other conditions to use marijuana as treatment [Sec. 2]. - Exempts patients and their caregivers from arrest for the possession or use of marijuana with a physician's written certification [Sec. 2]. - Limits possession of marijuana for exempted patients and their primary caregivers to 7 marijuana plants and 3 ounces of dried marijuana [Sec. 2]. - Requires the parents minors to be informed of risks and benefits of medical marijuana use by the certifying physician and to consent in writing to allow their child to use marijuana for medical purposes [Sec. 2]. - Prohibits marijuana use at work or on public property and prohibits the operation of vehicles or heavy machinery while under the influence of marijuana [Sec. 2]. - Exempts insurers from reimbursing patients for the cost of medical marijuana [Sec. 2]. - Classifies wrongfully claiming the status of a certified medical marijuana user to avoid arrest as a class B misdemeanor [Sec. 2].
