- Limits individual contributions to candidates for state office to $4,000 per year (sec 7). - Limits individual contributions to legislative candidates or candidates for county office to $1,000 per year (sec 8). - Limits individual contributions to political action committees and political parties to $10,000 per year (sec 9-10). - Disallows anonymous contributions or contributions disguised as gifts (sec 11). - Requires media that advocate for or against a candidate or party to say who paid for advertisements (sec 15). - Prevents organizations from making contributions or advocating for or against a candidate but allows contributions to influence a ballot question (sec 18). - Prohibits public funds to be used as contributions (sec 20-21). - Requires political committees to pay debts, dispose of assets, and file a termination statement before they disband (sec 26). - Gives the Attorney General the power to investigate any violations to this bill (sec 35).
