Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funding for school solar power in the state of Pennsylvania.

Highlights:

• Appropriates funding from the state general budget for optional school solar power projects construction grants in Pennsylvania to expand the use of solar energy at school facilities to achieve the following benefits, including (Sec. 1-3):

• To help schools reduce their present and future energy costs;

• To increase the resiliency of school energy systems;

• To help schools reduce their emissions of carbon dioxide and other pollutants;

• To grow employment through good-paying jobs in the solar industry; and

• To maximize the Inflation Reduction Act's solar energy investment tax credit for Pennsylvania. 

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective July 1, 2023 (Sec. 4).
