Vote to pass a bill that establishes the Historic and Older Building Redevelopment Assistance Grant Program in the state of Pennsylvania.

Highlights:

• Establishes the Historic and Older Building Redevelopment Assistance Grant Program as a pilot program with a $25 million appropriation and grants of $50,000 to $500,000, or 30% of a project’s cost, toward the redevelopment, rehabilitation, or enhancement of historic and older buildings in Pennsylvania (Sec. 2-8).

• Defines "Historic and older building" as a building located in the state and documented as being listed in or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places or contributing to a National Register-listed or eligible historic district (Sec. 2-8).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect 180 days following the final adjournment date of the current legislative session (Sec. 9).
