Title: Authorizes a Ballot Proposal to Establish a 9% Excise Tax on Ammo Vendors, Gun Dealers and Firearms Manufacturers
Vote to pass a bill that establishes a ballot proposal to ask voters in November whether the state should apply a 9% excise tax on ammo vendors, gun dealers and firearms manufacturers.
Establishes an 11% tax on firearms dealers, manufacturers, and ammunition vendors (Sec. 1).
Requires every firearms dealer, manufacturers and ammunition vendors to file a tax return and remit on a monthly basis (Sec. 1).
Requires all money received and collected in payment of the excise tax to be transmitted for ultimate deposit in the firearms and ammunition excise tax cash fund (Sec. 1).
