Vote to pass a bill that authorizes Delaware residents to be able to request and self-administer medication to end ones life.
Defines terms related to health care and end of life services for terminally ill individuals (Sec. 1).
Specifies that nothing in this act lessens requirements for informed consent requirements (Sec. 1).
Requires attending physicians or attending ARPN to provide information to patients regarding their terminal illness, all treatment options, and all alternative measures (Sec. 1).
Specifies the requirements for who can make the decision regarding ending one’s life via medical assistance (Sec. 1).
Authorizes a patient who is receiving end of life care to receive medication to end one's life in a humane way after two oral requests (Sec. 1).
Specifies that a written request may also be made (Sec. 1).
