Title: Prohibits Hotels from Using Single Use Plastics

  • Prohibits a hotel with 50 rooms or more from providing small, single-use plastic bottles containing personal care products in any space within an accommodation (Sec. 10).

  • Establishes a written warning for first violations from the State’s Attorney or a municipal attorney (Sec. 10). 

  • Specifies that upon second or subsequent violations the hotel may be liable for civil penalties of $500 for each violation (Sec. 10).
