Title: Requires Contracts for Information Technology Commodities
Vote to pass a bill that requires contracts for information technology commodities in the state of Pennsylvania.
Requires the procurement of endpoint devices to have services and solutions and be capable of being configured to meet the National Institute of Standards and Technology (Sec. 1).
Establishes that guidelines and industry best practices apply to endpoint devices, services, and solutions for being procured (Sec. 1).
Defines “endpoint device” as any internet-capable computer hardware device on a transmission control protocol or internet protocol network (Sec. 1).
Establishes that the contract shall only apply to a contract entered into on or after the effective date (Sec. 2).
Authorizes the act to take effect 60 days after passing (Sec. 3).
