Vote to pass a bill that authorizes voter restoration for individuals previously convicted of non-violent felonies in the state of Mississippi.
Specifies that individuals who are guilty of arson arson, bribery, perjury, armed robbery, carjacking, embezzlement, if the value and/or amount involved is $5,000 or more, murder, rape, statutory rape, sexual battery are unqualified to vote (Sec. 1)
Specifies that a person who is otherwise a qualified elector under this section, and has been convicted of theft, obtaining money or goods under false pretense, forgery, bigamy, or any crime interpreted as disenfranchising shall have his or her right to vote revoked upon conviction (Sec. 1).
