Vote to pass a bill that requires electric companies to report each year on the steps being taken to be part of an energy market in the state of Oregon.
Requires that any investor-owned utility must report to the Legislative Assembly no later than January 15 of the activities, plans and preparation that investor-owned utility has taken or is taking towards participating in regional energy markets (Sec. 1).
Establishes that investor-owned utilities only have to report if they sell more than two million megawatt hours of electricity in a calendar year (Sec. 1).
Establishes that this applies to calendar years beginning on or after January 1, 2024 (Sec. 2).
