Title: Prohibits Health Care Insurer's from Requiring a Health Care Provider to Purchase a Drug at a Certain Pharmacy
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits health care insurer's from requiring the purchase of certain drugs by pharmacies in certain settings in the state of Oregon.
Prohibits a health benefit plan that reimburses the cost of hospital or medical expenses of a clinician-administered drug for the treatment of cancer from the following (Sec. 1):
Requiring the drug to be dispensed only be certain pharmacies;
Limiting or denying coverage of a drug based on the enrolle’s choice of pharmacy; or
Requiring a physician or healthcare provider to participate in a health benefit plan that bills for delivery and administration of the drugs.
Establishes the following as not in accordance with this act (Sec. 2) :
Authorizing a person to administer a drug when otherwise prohibited by state or federal law; or
Modifying drug administration requirements under state law.
Specifies the related sections and provisions related to health care services and Insurance codes (Sec. 4).
