Title: Establishes a Hearing Aid Program for Eligible Low-Income Adults
Vote to pass a bill that establishes a hearing aid program for eligible low-income adults in the state of Wyoming.
Defines the terms, “Department”, “Eligible adult”, “Federal Poverty Levels”, and “Hearing Aid” (Sec. 1).
Establishes a program using available state funding for hearing aids for eligible adults (Sec. 1).
Authorizes that each eligible adult shall receive the following (Sec. 1).
One hearing aid per ear;
A hearing aid fitting at a a cost not more than the rate paid under the Wyoming Medical Assistance and Services Act; and
A set of ear molds.
Authorizes the department of health shall promulgate rules and regulations (Sec. 2).
Authorizes a position created to administer the program (Sec. 3).
Appropriates $90,000 for the program (Sec. 3).
