Vote to pass a bill that establishes benefits for deaths in the line of duty in the state of Delaware.

Highlights:

• Requires the State Treasurer to pay beneficiary or beneficiaries for every covered person who died in the line of duty (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes the amount to total to $100,000 in annual installments with the maximum amount payable in any 1 calendar year being $20,000 (Sec. 1). 

• Authorizes the covered person who dies in the line of duty a totalling amount of $150,000 payable in annual installments or $30,000 in one calendar year for any claim submitted on July 1, 1997, through June 30, 2017 (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes covered persons who die in the line of duty a totalling amount of $200,000  for any claims made before July 1, 1997 (Sec. 1).
