Vote to pass a bill that amends the title of child pornographic material to child sexual abuse material in the state of Alaska.

Highlights:

• Establishes new language for “child pornography”, requiring all legistion to read “sexual abuse material” (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies the distribution of child sexual abuse material  as a class B felony or a class A felon if the person has previously been convicted of distributing sexual abuse material (Sec. 2). 

• Establishes that possesion of sexual abuse matireal is a class C felony (Sec. 4). 

• Expands that distribution of child sexual abuse material  under the attempt, conspiracy, or solicitation to commit sexual assault in the first degree may be sentences to a definite term of imprisonment of not more than 99 years (Sec. 7). 

• Authorizes the department to disclose information to the public, on request concerning a minor at least 13 years of age at the time of commission of distribution of sexual abuse material (Sec. 14).
