Vote to pass a bill that increases penalties for intentionally or unintentionally ending a pregnancy without the consent of the pregnant individual in the state of Iowa.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the action of causing the death of an unborn person without the consent of the pregnant person during the commision (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes this action as a class “A” felony (Sec. 1). 

• Requires that a person who attempts to intentionally cause the death of an unborn person without the knowledge or voluntary consent of the pregnant person as being guilty of a class “C” felony (Sec. 1). 

• Prohibits a person to procure or force the consent of a pregnant person, any person found in violation of this is guilty of a class “C” felony (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes that any person who unintentionally causes the death of an unborn person while drag racing is guilty of a class “D” felony” (Sec. 1).
