Vote to pass a bill that prohibits forced or child labor in the construction of new electric vehicle, solar panel, or other renewable energy facilities in the state of Arizona.

Highlights:

• Prohibits any public entity or public service corporation from entering into or renewing a contract with an individual or company to acquire or dispose of land, natural products, services, supplies, information technology, goods, including electric vehicles, batteries and solar panels unless the contract includes sworn certification that the individual or the company does not currently, and agrees for the duration of the contract that it will not, use (Sec. 1-4):

• Forced labor;

• Oppressive child labor;

• Any goods or services produced by forced labor or child labor; or

• Any contractors, subcontractors or suppliers that use forced labor or oppressive child labor or any goods or services produced by forced labor or oppressive child labor.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 5).
