Vote to pass a bill that increases state funding for law enforcement training in the state of Washington.

Highlights:

• Requires all members of law enforcement agencies to complete fully basic law enforcement training (Sec. 1). 

• Requires that limited authority peace officers who have been employed after july 1st 2023 shall complete training within the first 12 months of employment unless there is a waiver (Sec. 1). 

• Requires review of training records of limited authority peace officers (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that this does not apply to peace officers who were hired before July 1st 2023 (Sec. 1).
