Vote to pass a bill that authorizes partisan elections for public power district directors in the state of Nebraska.

Highlights:

• Requires the Secretary of state, election commissioner, or county clerk to give notice to each political subdivision of the filing deadlines for the statewide primary election (Sec. 1) 

• Establishes the aforementioned deadline as January 5 of each even-numbered year (Sec. 1). 

• Authorizes any candidate to place their name on a primary election ballot by filing a candidate filing form (Sec. 3). 

• Authorizes any candidate for township office in a county under township organization, the board of trustees of a village, the board of directors of reclamation district, the county district board, or the board of educational service to play their name on the general election ballot (Sec. 3).

• Requires the secretary of each district to file certifications with a list of incumbent directors and naming the countries or election precincts (Sec. 5).
