Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the banning and prohibition of certain materials by library boards or individuals.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a school board, school board member, or adminstrator from selecting materials that may or may not be used in a school when their choice is discrimination (Sec. 3).

• Prohibits discrimination in the selection of textbooks, education materials, programs, or library books used for public schools in the state of Oregon (Sec. 3).

• Specifies that this bill declares an emergency and shall be effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 5).
