Vote to pass a bill that prohibits student-teacher relationships for a year after a student's graduation.

Highlights:

• Establishes the investigation of a sexual conduct case involving a student to be done through interviews with the person who initiated the report, a witness, and the person who was subject to the abuse or sexual conduct (Sec. 1). 

• Defines the terms: “sexual conduct”, “abuse”, “agent”. “Commision license” (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes a “student” as a person in any grade from prekindergarten through grade 12, or 21 years of age or younger and enrolled in education (Sec. 1). 

• Establishes that anyone who engaged in sexual conduct and left school or graduated from high school within one calendar year prior to sexual conduct to be considered a student. 

• Authorizes the act to take effect on July 1, 2024 (Sec. 3).
