Title: Prohibits Student Teacher Relationships for a Year After a Students Graduation
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits student-teacher relationships for a year after a student's graduation.
Establishes the investigation of a sexual conduct case involving a student to be done through interviews with the person who initiated the report, a witness, and the person who was subject to the abuse or sexual conduct (Sec. 1).
Defines the terms: “sexual conduct”, “abuse”, “agent”. “Commision license” (Sec. 1).
Establishes a “student” as a person in any grade from prekindergarten through grade 12, or 21 years of age or younger and enrolled in education (Sec. 1).
Establishes that anyone who engaged in sexual conduct and left school or graduated from high school within one calendar year prior to sexual conduct to be considered a student.
Authorizes the act to take effect on July 1, 2024 (Sec. 3).
