Vote to adopt a conference report vote and final pass a bill that in increases in the tax credits the disabled can claim in the state of Kansas.
Authorizes insurance agents or brokers who act in negotiating a contract or insurance, including annuity by an insurance company, to be entitled to hold such premium in trust for the company making the contract (Sec. 1)
Establishes that any agents and brokers who fail to pay a company with whom they have written consent will be classified with prima facie evidence (Sec. 1).
Requires that any agent or broker in violation of the aforementioned conditions shall be guilty of the following (Sec. 1)
Severity level 7, nonperson felony if the value of insurance is $25,000 or more;
Severity level 9, nonperson felony if the value of insurance is at least $1,000 but less than $25,000; or
Class A nonperson misdemeanor if the value of insurance is less than $1,000.
Establishes the effective date to be in force after the publication in the statute book (Sec. 3).
