Highlights:

  • Authorizes the Department of Public Safety and Welfare to issue a license to applicants approving the carry of a loaded pistol or revolver in the state (Sec. 1). 

  • Establishes the following as the proper purpose of applying for a firearm (Sec. 1):

    • Hunting;

    • Target shooting; and

    • Self-defense. 

  • Authorizes licenses to be valid for all allowable purposes regardless of the purpose for which it was originally issued (Sec. 1).
