Title: Prohibits Employers from Requiring Workers to Attend Captive Audience Meetings
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits employers from requiring workers to attend captive audience meetings.
Establishes that workers are protected from retaliation by certain employers in relation to speech on political or religious matters (Sec. 1).
Prohibits any employer, including the state, from threatening with discharging an employee barring the following conditions (Sec. 1):
The employee refuses to attend in an employer-sponsored meeting with the employer; or
Refuses to listen to speech or view communications regarding an employer's opinion concerning religious or political matters.
Establishes limits on the rights of employers to offer meetings communicating religious or political matters in which attendance is strictly voluntary (Sec. 1).
Prohibits an employer from requiring its employees to attend any training intended to prevent workplace harassment or discrimination (Sec. 1).
