Title: Amends the State Campaign Reporting Act to Require Disclaimers on "Materially Deceptive Media"
Vote to pass a bill that amends the state's Campaign Reporting Act so that campaigns must add a disclaimer to any "materially deceptive media."
Defines Artificial Intelligence, materially deceptive media, and other terms relating to artificially generated content (Sec 1).
Requires the disclosure of Artificial intelligence use in any campaign advertisement (Sec 2).
Written advertisements must contain a “clearly written statement using the same size text and in the same language as the other text in the advertisement”;
Audio advertisements must play a 4-second disclaimer, spoken in an intelligible manner in the same language as the advertisement;
Video advertisements must play a 4-second disclaimer with an audio and video disclaimer.
Establishes penalties for failure to disclose the use of Artificial Intelligence in a political campaign advertisement (Sec 2).
Establishes protections for advertisement distributors who may unknowingly run advertisements with Artificial intelligence (Sec 2).
