Title: Amends Existing Law to Define Terms and Revise Definitions for "Sex"and "Gender"
Vote to pass a bill that amends existing law to define terms and revise definitions for "sex"and "gender" in the state of Idaho.
Establishes for the purposes of thie bill that there are only 2 sexes: male and female (Sec.1)
Prohibits an individual from stipulating or self-identifying their sex (Sec.1).
Authorizes facilities, sports teams, programs, and leagues to separate the 2 sexes on the basis of physical differences between the sexes (Sec. 1).
Establishes definitions for terms relating to gender: boy, father, female, gender, sex, male, mother, and girl (Sec.2).
Prohibits medical providers from engaging in any of the following practices (Sec. 3).
Performing surgeries that sterilize or mutilate the appearance of genitalia;
From performing a mastectomy
Administering or supplying medication that will result in morphological changes in genitals; or
Removing otherwise healthy tissue.
Establishes that the formerly mentioned medical practices are not considered violations of the Vulnerable Child Protection Act if its necessary to the health of the person (Sec. 3).
Establishes that any medical provider in violation of these clauses shall be guilty of a felony, and improsed (Sec. 3).
Authorizes the bill to be declared in full effect on July, 1 2024 (Sec.7).
