Vote to pass a bill that requires the installation of publicly available rescue equipment on Lake Michigan.

Highlights:

• Requires the installation of publicly available rescue equipment along Lake Michigan public piers and beaches in the state of Indiana, including at least one ring life buoy as well as other types of rescue equipment (Sec. 2).

• Requires the aforementioned ring life buoy have at least 100 feet of length or at eleast 25 feet longer than the distance btween the station and rack or pier where it is secured (Sec. 3).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 6).
