Title: Authorizes Psilocybin Treatment Programs and Research
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes psilocybin treatment programs and research in the state of Indiana.
Authorizes therapeutic psilocybin treatment programs and research in the state of Indiana over the following mental and medical health conditions and disorders, including (Sec. 2-6):
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with a focus on treating the disorder to combat veterans and first responders;
Anxiety;
Depression;
Bipolar disorder;
Chronic pain; and
Migraines.
Appropriates funding from the state general budget to establish the therapeutic psilocybin research fund (Sec. 2).
Defines “psilocybil” as naturally occurring psychedelic prodrug compound that is produced by fungi, including members of the genus psilocybe (Sec. (Sec 2).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 8).
