Vote to pass a bill that amend voter registration rules and regulations in the state of Alaska.

Highlights:

• Requires the Alaska Division of Elections to send notices to voters that have not voted in the previous 2 years or are not currently living in the state of Alaska (Sec. 1).

• Requires state residents to provide return notice within 45 days after being sent registration notice to remain eligible to vote (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that state residents who apply for their permanent fund dividend shall be permanently registered to vote (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that Alaskans shall remain eligible to vote if they move to another state as long as they have the intent on returning and don’t register to vote in another state (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect July 1, 2024 (Sec. 7).
