Vote to pass a bill that prohibits any type of firearm into a restaurant that serves alcohol, regardless of a concealed carry permit.

Highlights:

• Establishes that anyone accused of carrying a handgun while under the influence will be charged with a misdemeanor (Sec. 1). 

• Authorizes the court to revoke a person's license to conceal a handgun if the person is in violation (Sec. 1). 

• Prohibits the person charged, with the possession of a handgun while under the influence, from applying for a concealed handgun permit for 5 years (Sec. 1). 

• Prohibits any person from carrying a concealed handgun onto the premise of a restaurant or club (Sec. 1).  

• Authorizes federal and local law enforcement (as well as retired law enforcement officers) to carry a concealed handgun on the premises of a restaurant or club, if they actively have a concealed hand-gun permit (Sec. 1).
