Title: Amends the Definition of Public Infrastructure to Allow Federally Recognized Tribe be Eligible for Housing Infrastructure Grants
Vote to pass a bill that amends the definition of public infrastructure to allow a federally recognized tribe to be eligible for housing infrastructure grants and loans and to declare an emergency.
Amends the definition of public infrastructure to allow a federally recognized tribe to be eligible for housing infrastructure grants and loans and to declare an emergency (Sec. 1).
Defines "Housing infrastructure" for the purposes of this bill as the installation, replacement, upgrade, or improvement of public infrastructure for the support of a single-family or multi-family housing project (Sec. 1).
Define "Public infrastructure," for the purposes of this bill as a right of way, water distribution system, sanitary sewer system, storm sewer system, lift station, street, road, bridge, curb, gutter, sidewalk, traffic signal, or streetlight, located in the state and owned, maintained, or provided by a political subdivision of this state or federally recognized Indian tribe; or excavation, compaction, or acquisition of land for such purposes (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 2).
