Vote to pass a bill that prohibits gender affirming care for minors.

Highlights:

• Prohibits gender affirming care, including gender reassignment surgery and gender transition procedures, and puberty blocking drugs for minors under 18 years of age with certain medical exceptions (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that physicians who knowignly performs gender reassignment surgery in violation of this bill shall be guilty of inflicting great bodily injury upon a child (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes violated individuals to obtain compensatory damages, injunctive relief, declaratory relief, or any other appropriate relief at any time up until they turn 21 (Sec. 1).

• Prohibits nurses, counselors, teachers, principals, or other official staff at a public school from encouraging or coercing a minor to withhold information from their parent or legal guardian on their gender perceptions (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that the provision of this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 3).
