Title: Establishes State Protections for Health Care Providers who Prescribe an Abortion or Gender-Affirming Care from Out-of-State Legal Action
Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that establishes state protections for health care providers who prescribe an abortion or gender-affirming care from out-of-state legal action.
Establishes state protections for health care providers who prescribe legally protected health care activity from out-of-state legal action (Sec. 1).
Defines “legally protected health care activity” for the purposes of this bill as the following, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):
Reproductive and abortion health care serivces and procedures; or
Gender affirming health care services and procedures.
Prohibits state or local government employees or magistrate judge from acting on behalf of another state jurisdiction and arrest, detain, or issue a warrant for an individual who is accused of violating a protected health care activity in that state (Sec. 3).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 5).
