Vote to pass a bill that prohibits restraint or isolation of students in public schools and educational programs.

Highlights:

• Prohibits staff in any school district or public educational services from subjecting students in grade K-2 to physical restraint or isolation solely for the purpose of student discipline in public schools and educational programs beginning January 1, 2026 (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes limited physical restraint or isolation for students in grade 3-12 if they pose an imminent likelihood of serious harm to themselves or others (Sec. 1).
