Highlights:

• Establishes the Maine Paid Family and medical leave benefits program by 2026(Sec. 1). 

• Defines terms related to the Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits program (Sec. 1). 

• Requires that the Main Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program cover the following situations (Sec. 1): 

• Childbirth; 

• Serious health conditions;

• To care for a family member who is a covered service member.
