Vote to pass a bill that requires employees of landlords with more than 200 dwelling units that have access to keys must undergo a criminal background check.

Defines “key” as any physical or electronic mechanism used to gain access to a rental dwelling unit (Sec. 1).
Exempts financial institutions and any individual who is a real estate licensee from the aforementioned requirements (Sec. 1).
Specifies the provisions in this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 1).
