Title: Amends State Anti-Corporate Farming Laws to Increase Animal Agriculture
Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that amends and reduces North Dakota's anti-corporate farming law to boost animal agriculture.
Amends and reduces North Dakota's anti-corporate farming laws to boost animal agriculture operations in the state (Sec. 2-13).
Increases capital incentives for out of state livestock corporations to operate within the state while establishing restrictions and requirements on shareholders including (Sec. 13-16):
Limiting how much aland an authorized livestock farm corporation can own; and
Requiring a majority of shareholders of the corporation be farmers or ranchers.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall declare and emergency and take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 32).
