Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes a 19-member task force to study and develop potential long-term "permanent and sustainable" property tax plans.

Highlights:

• Establishes a 19-member task force to study and develop potential short-term and long-term "permanent and sustainable" property tax plans (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the task force shall be made up of the following members, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):

• 2 members of the house of representatives;

• 2 members of the senate;

• The property tax administrator;

• One individual who is a mayor or elected city council member;

• One individual who is serving or has served as a county assessor;

• The executive director of the special district association of Colorado;

• One individual who is a financial officer of a school district; and

• One individual representing a statewide organization with expertise in school funding policy.

• Requires the aforementioned task force to no later than March 15, 2024 make a report to the general assembly and governor that include recommendations for short-term and long-term permanent and sustainable property tax plans (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 4).
